Dominic Yagong

Served on the Hawaii County Council from 1996-2002, where he served as Chairman of the Public Works and Parks Committee and Chairman of the Environmental Management Committee.He returned to the County Council in 2006 and was recently re-elected to serve through the year 2010. Councilmember Yagong currently serves the Hawai'i County Council as Chairman of the Public Safety and Parks and Recreation Committee and Vice-Chairman of the Human Services and Economic Development Committee.

He is currently employed by Food Pantry Ltd. as District Manager overseeing 12 business operations located in Oceanview, Pahoa, Waikoloa, South Kohala, and North and South Kona. A Big Island sports enthusiast, he is known as the “Voice of the Honoka’a Dragons” broadcasting sporting events for over 20 years.

Born and raised in Honoka'a, he currently resides in Honoka'a with his wife Hilda, and children Chelsea, Jeremy, Rylee and Angellee.
